Description

Ketoconazole ointment is an antifungal ointment that contains extensive application in the treatment of various skin fungi and yeast infections. This powerful ointment is particularly useful in curing disorders such as the legs, ringworm, and seborrheic dermatitis of the athlete. Due to its strong antifungal action, ketoconazole ointment relieves itching, redness and inflammation, which is capable of quick recovery and skin health.

The major active ingredient in ketoconazole ointment is ketoconazole, a man -made derivative of imidazole. Ketoconazole acts by pressing the ergosterol biosynthesis pathway, which is an important part of the fungus cell membrane. The wall of the fungal cell breaks the integrity, kills ketoconazole fungi or prevents its growth, thus curing infection.
